Buffer integration preview

Build and test social scheduling with a unified social media posting API. Try queues, publishing, and post status through your Buffer account.

  • Separate test workspace
  • Guided setup

One API · 10 networks

Ship in hours, not weeks

Drop-in REST calls and a GraphQL endpoint replace a dozen platform APIs, review queues and OAuth headaches.

10 platforms. 1 tool.

X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon behind one API key.

Connect through Buffer

Authorize access to your own Buffer organizations and channels.

Everything out of the box

One API. Posting, feeds, analytics and more.

The features your users ask for — composer, queue, analytics — already built, already consistent across networks.

Schedules & queue

Per-channel time slots and a queue your users already know from Buffer.

Approvals workflow

Pending → approved → scheduled. Buffer Team parity for multi-seat products.

Content ideas

Give your users a lightweight ideas inbox that turns into posts.

Webhooks

update.sent, update.failed, channel.connected — no polling required.

OAuth handled

Token refresh, re-auth and permissions are our problem, not yours.

Media processing

Pass URLs; we normalize media per network's requirements.

Developer quickstart

Your integration shouldn't drain your dev resources

One key. One create call that fans out to every network. REST v2 compatibility, a GraphQL surface mirroring Buffer's API, and webhooks so you never waste a poll.

const res = await fetch("https://api.buffersass.dev/2/updates", {
  method: "POST",
  headers: {
    Authorization: "Bearer bsk_live_YOUR_KEY",
    "Content-Type": "application/json",
  },
  body: JSON.stringify({
    channel_ids: ["cha_x_account", "cha_linkedin_account"],
    text: "Ship day! v2.4 is live 🚀",
    media: [{ url: "https://cdn.acme.dev/launch.png", alt_text: "Launch banner" }],
    scheduled_at: "2026-11-10T14:30:00Z",
  }),
});

const { data } = await res.json(); // one update per channel
The Buffer UX, embedded

A queue your users already know

buffer_sass keeps the parts of Buffer that made it beloved — the composer with per-network customization, day-grouped queues, time-slot schedules, move-to-top, and approvals — and hands them to you as API primitives with a dashboard you can white-label.

  • Composer with per-network text and media
  • Day-grouped queue with move-to-top and publish-now
  • Per-channel weekly time slots (schedules)
  • Drafts, pending approvals and sent history
  • Ideas inbox that graduates into posts

Frequently Asked Questions

more questions answered
Why should I choose buffer_sass over direct platform APIs?

Connect a Buffer account to schedule on your own channels. The separate sandbox can simulate publishing on test channels you create.

How do I get started?

Create an account and follow the workspace guide to connect Buffer.

Can users on a paid Buffer plan connect more than three channels?

Yes. Three channels is the limit for a Free Buffer organization. Essentials and Team bill each channel slot from the first one. After authorizing the app, paid users can use eligible channels on their existing Buffer plan.

Do users need a personal Buffer API key?

When the Buffer app client is configured, users approve access on Buffer's consent screen. You can also connect your own account with a personal key.

Is live Buffer publishing available in the preview?

With a connected Buffer account, the workspace sends post requests to Buffer. The sandbox simulates publishing separately.

Transparency

Built in the open, so you can trust what your product runs on

Every endpoint is documented with request/response examples, the sandbox is isolated from live publishing, and the public changelog and status page keep you ahead of changes. No surprise deprecations, no surprise charges.
